AIPAZ PARTICIPATES IN THE III WORLD FORUM CITIES AND TERRITORIES OF PEACE
Gernika Gogoratuz is a member of the Aipaz board of directors who has proposed three speakers for the plenary sessions of the III World Forum Cities and Territories of Peace.
Carmen Magallón will participate in Plenary 2 “Covid and peace-building” on October 6 at 3:00 p.m. Carmen Magallón is President of the SIP Foundation (Research Seminar for Peace), Zaragoza. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association for Peace Research (AIPAZ). Honorary President of WILPF Spain, section of the International League of Women for Peace and Freedom (Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom). Institute professor and specialist in gender, science and culture of peace.
In addition, on October 7 at 4:30 p.m. in plenary 5 “Women, culture of peace and non-violence” will be Ouided Bouchamaoui, Nobel Peace Prize 2015. Ouided Bouchamaoui directs the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Commerce and Crafts ( UTICA) since 2011. He participated since 2013 in the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet which led the organization to receive the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize. In 2014 Ouided Bouchamaoui won the Oslo Business for Peace award for his work at UTICA.
In the same plenary session will be Joy Ada Onyesoh, President of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF). Joy Ada Onyesoh conducts research for her Ph.D. in Transformative Studies and is working toward a LLB law degree. She is President of the International League of Women for Peace and Freedom in Nigeria and Executive Director of Women for Skill Acquisition Development and Leadership Organization.
