Objectives:

For the third consecutive year, the peace research center Gernika Gogoratuz offers this Laboratory as a place where the sectors government, university, civil society and industry come together to debate and reflect on equal footing about their contribution to peace economy as well as their accomplishments concerning human rights in their companies and the Basque authorities.

All these topics will be discussed in form of keynotes, round tables, horizontal dialogues and sector based diagnosis. . This time the emphasis of the laboratory will be on topics of interest for people around the businesses as well as for the participants themselves.

In detail the topics will be:

• The possibility or impossibility of further continuation of a capitalist economy.
• The evolution of the norms and initiatives concerning human rights in companies.
• The responsibility of companies in conflict and post conflict situations.
• And the models of public and social monitoring/control of company activities.
