Premio Gernika Paz y Reconciliación

The Town Councils of Gernika-Lumo and Pforzheim, the Gernika Peace Museum, the “Culture house” and Gernika Gogoratuz, organise the GERNIKA AWARDS FOR PEACE AND RECONCILIATION which reward the work of two people or organisations, both national and international, who have stood out in their work in favour of peace and reconciliation.

and Michael Kasper

Michael Kasper, historian and supporter of cultural exchanges between Euskal Herria and Germany. He combined his teaching at the University of Deusto in Bilbao and at the Goethe-Institut in Gernika with journalism and historical research. He published several books and articles on the Camino de Santiago, guerrilla movements and popular uprisings in the Basque Country in the 18th and 19th centuries, and the first Basque History.
