Gernika Gogoratuz will participate in the International Meeting. The Legacy of the Truth Commission – how to continue the work on memory and truth to be held on 20 and 21 April as one of the international guests representing sites of memory of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience.

Alex Carrascosa, artivist and collaborator of Gernika Gogoratuz will be on the 21st at Table 2: Recognition of responsibility, importance and continuation.

The objective of the event is to discuss the role of civil society in continuing the initiatives and work on memory and truth, and the importance of the legacy that the Truth Commission will leave when its mandate ends. It is convened by the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, the Center for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation, the Mesa por la Verdad, the Colombian Network of Sites of Memory, the Network of Sites of Memory of Latin America and the Caribbean -RESLAC- and Memoria Abierta (Argentina).

At the beginning of the day, there will be a panel with international guests representing sites of memory from the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, and representatives of the Colombian Network of Sites of Memory. This panel will be open to the public at the Centro de Memoria, Paz y Reconciliación in Bogotá and will be publicly streamed on social media.

Working tables
The second part of each of the two days (20 and 21 April) will consist of discussions at 3 working tables, each around a different theme, so that participants can choose one each day. Participation in the roundtables will only be open to registered participants.
