OPEN CALL FOR THE “RENÉ CASSIN” PRIZE 2024

The Governing Council has approved the call for the 21st edition of the “René Cassin” Prize, an award created in 2003 to publicly recognise outstanding actions in favour of Human Rights. Nominations may be submitted until 18 November.

María Oianguren Idigoras, director of Gernika Gogoratuz is a member of the jury, among other people of recognised prestige in the field of coexistence and human rights.

The name of the prize is in memory of Mr. René Cassin, the main inspirer of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948 and who played an essential role in the drafting of the European Convention on Human Rights in 1950.
