Collective Memory on the Bombing of Gernika. María Jesús Cava Mesa in collaboration with María Silvestre y Javier Arranz.

Collective Memory on the Bombing of Gernika. María Jesús Cava Mesa in collaboration with María Silvestre y Javier Arranz.

The recovery of the collective memory has been a tenacious effort, the achievement not only of the reconstruction of the facts, but also the estimation of the subjective variables of those who were witnesses, remember and transmit their emotions. What is shown in this effort is the story without adjectives, full of questions, but also the desire to gather some pieces of a historical scenario in which “the everyday” stands out, turned into history, so that this is “history of everyone”.
