Xabier Arana Eiguren and María Oianguren Idigoras, collaborator and director of Gernika Gogoratuz have taken the Urdaibai region to the 5th edition of the “Gonzalo Palomino Ortiz Chair” Environmental Thinking Diploma at the University of Tolima (Colombia). The session dealt with two topics, “Case studies of Territories in Conflict: Urdaibai” with Xabier Arana and “Conflict and life alternatives. Notes for the construction of peace” with María Oianguren.

Both topics are linked to the Territorios en Conflicto project, a project carried out in consortium by Gernika Gogoratuz and Gernikatik Mundura that seeks to promote a process of research, training, action and advocacy in relation to the impact that the hegemonic neoliberal and patriarchal model, and its main agents, the transnational companies, have on the territories.
